Wow, its been awhile since I touched this one.

I had to downsize my work area and put a large amount of my kits in the garage. I decided to keep this one out and after looking it over decided it wasn't so bad after all. This evenings bench time resulted in more yellow being sprayed. I'm liking it better already. 😁

Just an overall look. Hoping to get a more custom truck when finished.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. It really helps to stay motivated. I thought I had a partial can and full can of the yellow, it turned out to be two partial cans....soooooooo I  need to order a couple more cans. That is what happens when I think.

Here is the chassis in its coat of yellow. This will be the last update for a few days. Anniversary is this weekend,  so as they say, see you on the flip side.

Thanks!

That post was November of 2021, that's how long it took me to get back on the flip side. 😄

Maybe I can get it finished before my anniversary this year.  😂

Just wondering if you have a trailer in mind to possibly hook behind this rig? Like a custom one to match?  At first I wasn’t sure about the colors but looking at it more than once it does have great potential for a super custom owner operator unit. You got the lines for the color separation absolutely perfect.  I’m curious as to the rest of your vision. Looking forward to the next update

Thanks Biggu.

I have something in mind. 😎

More test fitting. the hood assembly is finished. I need to addres the Air Filter and Luberfiner. Mounts. The fenders are not clearing them. That, and the air filter is ugly.

I hear ya on the air filter but it is accurate for an old school square style air filter of the eta depicted, and of course you can upgrade to a ‘round’ one or , you could chrome the louvered outside face that would be accurate and give it the continued custom look.  Not much but I’ve seen them chromed on real trucks and they look pretty good. Just a random thought if you can’t come up with something you like better.  Keep going. ..

Thanks Jeff.

I took your suggestion and foiled the front of the air cleaner. Everything clears the hood when it opens. For some reason the driver side paint line does not line up anymore. Everything seems square and level, so oh well.

This is coming along swimmingly , Sam. The chrome louvers tie in nicely, with the wheels, bumper and luberfiner. Both sides are ‘even’ makes it clean and balanced.  Looks great.
