I know a lot of you guys prefer not to bother with IG, but I've discovered another reason to have an account..... Hashtags! My next modeling project will be the '62 Thunderbird that has just been re-released by Round2. I have found a bunch of tags that pertain to the '62 T Bird. Lots and lots of inspiration and reference!

I love IG... the scale model community is plentiful. LOTS of modelers and groups on there.

Is there a way to see bigger pictures on IG? I find it very frustrating to click on a pic and have it open only marginally bigger than the thumbnail pic. I very seldom check out IG for that reason.

If you're following the person, I believe what shows up in your feed is a bit larger than what is on their actual page.......

Love IG. Not sure about on a computer but on your phone you can use two fingers to zoom the picture to fill the screen. Plus pics load a lot faster than here on MCM. Some pictures here on the board I eventually give up trying to get them to load. Folks should post up their IG usernames. Easier to find that way.

Mine are Toner283 for my main account (full scale hot rod and car related stuff) and Toner283.scalecars for my model car account.

Ya, lots of good stuff on IG...I follow a bunch of 1:1 car related pages, and other interests (music, small terriers, Ohio state parks, Cleveland area pages).. I'm 'robertwadehall1970' on IG...I don't post much, though.

The feature of IG that I enjoy the most is the "Explore" feature....On a PC the button looks like a compass needle. You can find pages that may be followed by someone you follow, or related to things that you follow. I get to see a bunch of automotive and doggy posts without them crowding my personal feed....

LOL!  There is no need to use your fingers to zoom while using your PC and view the contents on a 28" computer monitor! :D  I always chuckle seeing people doing web browsing on their 6" screens.  But then again, I don't yet use a smart phone.   Well, I do own an unactivated Tracfone I  use as a model railroad throttle at some train layouts that use JMRI over WiFi.
