JerseeJerry55 Posted December 3, 2021 Posted December 3, 2021 Today I was at Walmart and I found this. The question is do I do it with the sleeper and make her an O/O Unit. Or a day cab Eastern unit?
Mopar - D Posted December 3, 2021 Posted December 3, 2021 Go with the sleeper and make it a fancy rig.
leafsprings Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 IMO, this kit would make a nice West Coast O/O unit if the frame was lengthened and Alcoa's added to the rear. Rear Alcoa's from the White Freightliner DD would have the appropriate 22" wheels and tires.

However I may just stick with 10 holes on the front and spokes on the rears like a 1970’s O/O unit.
Rockford Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Thinking of the length of the chassis I'd omit the sleeper and keep the Dayton rear wheels. Proper heavy duty piece of kit.

Proper heavy duty piece of kit. Thanks Stephen. I just picked up a can of Rustoleum Painters Touch 2X Gloss Apple Red. Will probably use that for the frame. Was thinking about using the Hoosier Trucking decals from the Autocar A64B kit. The hood would be painted a shade of Yellow, and the cab would White. Something different than what I usually do.
