Mark Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Still some goodies left on that tree. Those little "U" shaped thingies are teeth for the '54 Chevy grille; those were separate pieces on the 1:1 car, and customizers often put additional ones on in between the original ones. The '62 Chrysler and Dodge grilles are better than the equivalent Jo-Han parts. The Dodge grille fits the Revell '62 Dodge body perfectly. There's a '60 Oldsmobile grille there too.
ChrisBcritter Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 A few more details: The Chrysler 300 grille was marked as a '62 on the package, but it's really a '61 due to the "CHRYSLER" lettering on the top - that was '61-only. Good to know if you want to convert a Jo-Han '61 New Yorker to a 300 - although I recall it being a little larger than the Jo-Han grille. The '57 Buick grille is different from the one in the old '57 Chevy kit; the parts pack one is wider and more curved - possibly Super/Roadmaster. The '60 Mercury grille has separate inner headlights like the custom piece in the '59 El Camino kit, but the lenses are molded in. (Anyone have both on hand to compare length?)

(Anyone have both on hand to compare length?) length on the merc grille is the same the el camino grille is a bit smaller(narrower) looks like the two did not come out of the same mould. looking at the back side.
espo Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 The grill below the Dodge grill looks like the '57 Buick grill. This used to be a popular Kustom grill for a '57 Chevrolet.
