HJK
Is there a model truck kit that contains the CAT engine 3412? Or might it be on the market in resin? Does anybody know the angle of the V between the cylinder banks? Each and every info is appreciated. Thanks, Juergen
mr moto
I don't know about availability in a kit but the vee angle is 65 deg. Good luck!

NOBLNG
Doesn’t look like they have a 3412. https://www.catmodels.com/p/cat-125-scale-g3516-gas-engine-85238/
HJK
Thanks Greg. Yeah, I didn't have a lot of hope because the main design of this engine goes back to around 1985. It still exists and looks a little different and additionally this engine was used in trucks and for industrial and maritime purposes. I contacted already Caterpillar in Peoria but they even didn't answer. Anyway, thanks again. Take care, Juergen

Take care, Juergen You're best bet is to make one from two of the 3408s in the Revell Kenworth long nose kits, the flat top, wrecker, and dump truck all have one. You can also usually find a kit breaker selling just the engine on ebay.
