Mike C. Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Can't seem to figure out the Tamiya paint stand. The spring loaded thingys seem either too tight or wont work at all. I can never keep them in the adjusting holes. Is there a secret aftermarket part I'm not using or something?

Do you mean the "cloths pins"?

The smaller stand that you usually see people painting the main body of the model. Those spring loaded clips seem like they want to stretch the body out like there is too much tension on it or something.

Experiment with it and you'll find the right setting. 1
Smoke Wagon Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 If the metal springs don’t want to stay in the holes, try putting a little bit of an inward bend on the metal springs, this will help them stay in the holes since they’ll want to bend in towards them.
Mike C. Posted January 2, 2022 Author Posted January 2, 2022 I've been bending them every which way. I think I mite try that rubber band idea.
