There has been a vendor area at this show in the past. There is a 1:1 car show going on at the Berlund Center (the now sponsored name of the Roanoke Civic Center) and the model show is held in one of the lower-level exhibition halls below the main show venue. The upper part of the Coliseum (which is where the Ice Hockey team plays) is an indoor car show, and then the outside area is more cars and a 1:1 Open Air Swap Meet. You used to be able to get into the model show without paying the GA price to get into the MDA 1:1 Car Show. At least that was the arrangement the last time I was there, which was before the addition of the Special Events Center and the remodel to the Coliseum interior.
