Fat Brian Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 I only ever got to see two of my dad's completed builds, he'd gotten rid of the rest by the time I came along. He found this one his parents attic when I was 10 or 11 along with a bunch of old Pactra paints. He described it to me as a moonshine running car complete with external drain taps on the passenger side. Being a child I destroyed the original and didn't know enough about cars to know what kind of car it actually was. I bought the reissue of the 65 Fairlane knowing it wasn't that great but wanting to see if there was anything useful in the kit. Upon examining the contents they started to look very familiar, I'm certain this is the kit he used for this build. So, I decided to recreate his build as it was given to me almost 30 years. Nothing fancy, built like a teenager would have done back when this kit was first released. The only parts from a different kit are the high riser intake and velocity stacks from the AMT 68 Shelby Mustang. 1
