bbowser Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 So just the opposite of the usual use of decanting, I'm looking to thicken decanted spray for brush work. Mostly to touch up after assembly. I have done it in the past by decanting some paint and then just waiting for it to thicken (basically dry out) to a consistency to brush but it seems a bit haphazard. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
SfanGoch Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 (edited) Find the same/similar color in a bottle. Lot easier. It's nearly impossible to obtain the same consistency of brushable paint from decanted rattle can contents. Edited January 26, 2022 by SfanGoch

Dave72 Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 I have done it that way myself. Spray a little in a rattle can cap, let it sit until the desired consistency. May take a couple coats.
