A few photos of the Tamiya Mercedes SLR McLaren that I have finally completed.  The paint is Tamiya Champagne, the interior is Tamiya white and semigloss black.  I struggled with getting the hood to have a snug fit and I completely failed at hinging the doors.  Looking at the photos I see I should do some dust control when I photograph models.

Thanks to all for your kind comments!

I enjoyed building this kit.  It isn't perfect but I'm reasonably well satisfied with the result.  I am slowly developing my model building skills and getting a bit closer to having a final result resemble something close to how I imagined the model.  The wealth of knowledge available in these forums has been very helpful.

I'm presently working on an AMT 1951 Chevrolet which is, for me, a study in frustration and considerable contrast to the well defined assembly of the Tamiya Mercedes.  How some people are able to produce such beautiful models from the challenge of the ill fitting bits of the AMT kit is still somewhat astonishing to me.......but a subject for a different thread.

Thanks again to all the contributors on this site.
