Revell "Street Sleeper" Chevrolet S-10

Here are a few in progress shots of my build, along with some awesome real GM S Body pickups people shared - thanks for that!

 

Here is my take on the recently issued Revell S-10 Street Sleeper.  I've picked up a few of the kits, with the intention of building my Dad's extended cab that he had while I was in college.  I'm hoping to build up to slicing two of these to make Dad's extended cab. I loved that truck. 

I realize the current issue is really the Revell/Monogram Syclone running gear, the S-10 4x4 wheels, and the S-10 trim.  But to the casual observer, I think it looks like an S-10. 

Here's my most first build of the reissue:

 

The hood actually does close properly

 

I need to add the license plate, and paint the bowtie (the kit does include a red bowtie for the grill)

And of course ... as I put the passenger side wiper on it, I dropped the wiper - with a little bit of glue on it and BAM!  Right on the hood!  *sigh*
