New mold. I don't see that working because it eliminates the spacing for the actual casting. That's why have a solid master allows you to create additional molds since there wear out after 20-50 pulls.

New mold. Yes, that would work. You could use part A of the old mold plus the master to cast a new part B of the mold and vice versa.
