k357 Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 This is a replica build of my first car, a 66 Biscayne, it's based on the MCW 66 Biscayne & Revell 66 Impala... Bumpers ,grill & tail lights are modified Impala parts, chassis & drive train are also Impala, interior, body & hood are MCW... Wheels, tires & poverty caps are parts box... Paint is Duplicolor GM Ming Blue...
Crager Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Very cool! I'm a big fan of the understated look of the Biscayne!
bisc63 Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Yep, always interesting to see the more common, less dressy body styles. 66 is a handsome car, and I really like your choice of color. My first car was a Biscayne, too! ('63 for me; 283,powerglide)
espo Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Great looking base Chevrolet. Your color matches what they called Danube Blue Mt. and happened to be the color of my '66 Impala SS. The overall body shape looks very correct here. Did you have any issues with the MCW casting?
kruleworld Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 looks good. i like seeing people model their own cars. it's a good way to keep a memory of it.
MeatMan Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Nice job! My first car was a 66 Biscayne also but it was a 4 door in the light blue. I don't think I'll be able to find a kit to replicate that one.
Gary Chastain Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Nice build Ken, might have seen this build elsewhere ??
