NYLIBUD Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 So I know it doesn’t look like much, but I'm trying to rebuild this Nova.Ah,I’ll see what I can do.??
Ian McLaren Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Hi Ron. Lots to work with here, lines and proportions look good. I will keep an eye on this project, I've always had a soft spot for these Novas.

Yea,I really like the lines,& stance of the car too.Believe it or not it used to have a real nice paint job and looked really good.My plan is to sand the body, and try to apply a new paint job and chassis.Like i said I’ll see how it comes out.
crowe-t Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Ron, Did you get it already painted or is this a re-build of one of your former builds? I'll be following this one.

It’s a rebuild.Hopefully i can get it done.Maybe i won’t even repaint it,and sort of use the sand marks as Patina, lol. It’s got a few different paint jobs on it already.I’ve got to find a chassis and cage for it also.If i do rebuild it,I’ll probably go with the black wheels. And the windows from the 66 Nova kits fit pretty well.Like i said it’s a Shapeways 3D printed body. But i think they did an excellent job with the lines of the body.I did have to glue on the rear wing, but the hood and scoop are part of the molded body.

If you can find one of the Revell '55 or '57 Chevy Sportsman kits they have a great chassis to work with.

crowe-t Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Ron, Have you figured out what chassis you'll be using?

NYLIBUD Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 So i decided to go with a Bob Glidden T Bird chassis/cage for the car.Still have to do some fitting and cutting. 1
crowe-t Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Do you have a picture of the chassis out of the car? I have a Pro Stock chassis that might be the Bob Glidden T-Bird chassis but I'm not sure. I'm curious what chassis I have.

This is the chassis,it’s in pretty rough condition.I need to repaint it,and add a lot of details,eg.NOS bottles. It’s also missing the front end,but the body is molded in one piece,so there won’t be an engine, unless i cut the hood open. But my skills aren’t that good.I just usually just built “shelf” models. 1
crowe-t Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 (edited) This looks like the chassis I have. I thought it might be from the Revell Matt & Debbie Hay's Pro Street T-Bird but it's definitely the Bob Glidden T-Bird chassis I have. Thanks for posting the pictures. Edited March 24, 2022 by crowe-t
NYLIBUD Posted March 30, 2022 Author Posted March 30, 2022 Added another rear set of wheels and tires. Not sure if i’m gonna paint it or leave in patina.

NYLIBUD Posted April 3, 2022 Author Posted April 3, 2022 Did a little bit more work on this beater pro mod Nova.Still need to install the glass, and do some more sanding. 1
crowe-t Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 It's looking real good. What rear end is in it? Where did you get the Remove Before Flight parachute tags?
