It did, and it fit like it was made for the kit. I have the Austin that was also part of the series and uses the same chassis and running gear as the J. Maybe I'll grab another 427 wedge to drop in itnif I ever get around to building it!

That Brilliant Orange is a dead-ringer for the box art. Turned out quite nice despite its challenges going together and the blown small block looks perfect in there.

I remember attempting to build one of these back in the 70's and I failed miserably .  Yours turned out excellent , no one would ever know the fitment issues you had !  Love that Brilliant Orange color too !
