Bills72sj Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Nice Chevelles. I have built a resin '68 and an old 69. I am sorry I didn't catch you before you paid for the mirrors. I never put them I my models because eventually the disappear leaving just glue spots. I would have gladly handed of a spare pair to ya. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/146961-resin-1968-chevelle-ss-396/#comment-2157961 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/147105-1969-yenko-sc-chevelle-427/#comment-2160260
slusher Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 I look forward to seeing you build those great buys, John!
Dragonhawk1066 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Nice work on the Chevelle, and those were some great bargains on those kits!
conchan Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Your Chevelle building skills are awesome! The work on the cars is amazing. I am partial to the blue as it is close to the colour of my ‘69. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and enjoy!
ModelcarJR Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 Thanks, All for your comments! Bill, I appreciate your offer and I'll keep it in mind next time the carpet eats one of my mirrors. Nice resin build too! I got my mirrors and have finished this one. While I was adding the decals, the fan caution decal slipped in between the radiator and the support somehow. In trying to retrieve it, I managed to knock off the front bumper, license plate frame and the rear tailpipe extension. The fan caution decal is still in between the radiator and support but I used a decal from another decal sheet. I finally glued the right mirror in place and finished the rest of the decals without incident. This was a rough one to finish! Thanks for looking! Still working on the SS decal to get it to sit down!
