71 Chevy Vega

i picked up this beat up annual/promo 71 Vega with the intention of rebuilding it. The glass was cracked and the bumper missing a chunk. i repainted it and replaced the glass.

started like this:

Got it repainted in tamiya red primer and clear coated that. painted chassis and interior plain black.

Nice save and it looks like Roy Scheider's girlfriend character Vega in Blue Thunder.

Looks great! I am not a fan of the wheels being black over the chrome.

That was the inspiration. i've got a blue thunder helicopter model to build one day.
