Looking good so far. I look forward to seeing more progress.

Thank You. I’ll keep everyone following this build posted on this build.

Here’s what I’ve gotten done on the trailer so far. The trailer wheels are going to look very similar to the trucks wheels. The trailer gave me the idea on how I wanted all the wheels to look.

Nice progress on both the cab and trailer Leif. Looks like you could use some shelves.

Thank You. Yes, I could use some shelves. When I can, I’ll be putting up some custom made shelves for my semi trucks. I’ll be placing that onto the window sill of my bedroom.

I did some custom black wash detailing to the grilles, grille surround, cab side trim pieces, and front bumper. Man I’m having a blast on building this truck.

I have the tanker soaking in water with dishwasher bleach packets and some purple power. Is there anything else I could use to strip off the chrome, from the parts I’m wanting to strip?

Still truckin along, at the Soren of a T800. I don’t have the trailer under carriage glued to the axle assembled. Cool thing is, it’s a bit shorter than what I thought it would be. Now onto working more on the interior.

I got the axle assembly done, on the trailer. I found it fitting for the truck and trailer to have the trucks California plates. Being that the first Terminator movie is in L.A. California.

When the time comes to post final pictures, I’ll be doing those in the Under Glass area under the same name here. I’ll be sure to post this last part on my last progress photos of this build.

Looks great

Thank You. The trailer is taking for ever to loose all of its chrome. I might get a container and purple power and soak those parts in that until the chrome is all gone.

Here’s pictures of the interior sleeve to the interior being completed. I’m planing on painting around the windows black, both on the interior sleeve and on the inside of the cab. Here’s the sicker I’m going to be using on the back of the trailer, maybe front as well, not sure right now. I know I don’t have that round chrome piece on the console there, but since I don’t know what it’s for or supposed to be, I’m leaving it out.

I’m going to see about adding these Terminator T800 eyes to the truck and have everything in the sleeper area. The on/off switch will be hidden under the cab, so you’d only ba able to see it when the cab is tilted up.

The chrome piece is the “built in ashtray” according to the IH brochure. Ashtrays were pretty much standard equipment on most all vehicles.

Thank You. Then I’m going to leave it out of my truck. Or fill it with transparent red and see what I could do with it.

Wow!

Excellent progress on this. It'll be fun to see how you work the eye lights into the whole thing.

David G.

Thank You. It’s been a very fun build.

Here’s the truck as it sits now. Now I’m just waiting on some parts and the trailer to be finished getting the chrome stripped. Making the ash tray look like a Terminator T800 eye.

Here’s a mock up of the truck. I’m already thinking of my next International 4070A and tanker trailer. The next trailer, I’ll try to get an older issue that’s not chrome plated.

I just removed the chrome plating from a couple 5th wheels in nothing but Purple Power. The plating was gone entirely in about 5 minutes.
