Here’s what I’ve gotten done on the cab so far. I’m doing my own custom cut out fender flares and I’ll be building a suspension lift for this truck as well. The rear lift will be the easy part, the front will be a different story.

I wasn’t happy with how the first set of cut out fender flares turned out. So I found a spare cab and bed sides, and chose to start over. I’m liking the way these turned out much better. This build won’t be using my Chevy Baja decals, but I might change my mind and use them any way. We shall see.

I got more done with my truck. I’ve always loved S10’s in a deep red color, so that’s what color I’m going with on this build. It’s Tamiya Clear Red over black metallic. I did a spring over conversion with the rear, now to work on lifting the front, to give it the extra ground clearance. The Vortec parts are from the AMT GMC Sonoma kit as well.

If you like them use them. Does seem to break up the slab sides of the body, but that's just one opinion.

I think it looks better without.

I agree. I’m thinking I’m only going to use the Baja decals for it.

I’ve been thinking about putting on the decals to see how much I like them and if I choose to use them, while I’m building the rest of the truck, then I’ll clear it. Then if I choose not to use them, I’ll soak the parts in water until they all come off.

I will be using this decal to make my own tailgate letter and putting them on the tailgate of the truck. Not only do I have to work on the interior, but I also have to finish building the front suspension, with the lift, that’ll allow extra ground clearance up front.

I do like the decals, but not for the Baja.   To me, the Baja is a pretty distinct S-10.    But... since you've added the flairs, and presumably some (even) meatier tires, those decals may look pretty cool.

Where did you source those decals?  edit that - I see now :)

I'm of the opinion of builds that - if you like it, then it's perfect.

Here’s a picture of what the tires. Just taller BFG All Terrains. So that I could clear these tires. I’ve thought about going bigger, but I don’t think they would work with the overall theme of the build.

Not really sure about those decals, they seem to clash with the paint color. Almost too bright over the dark paint. Looking for more updates.

I’m thinking that I agree with you, that the decals are too bright to go with the dark red. I’m glad I haven’t cleared the body yet. I’m able to soak the body in water, until the decals come off.

Here’s what the rear of the truck looks like, with the BFG’s I’m wanting to use and the second picture is sitting on a set of 37’s from Scenes Unlimited.

Here’s a picture of the truck, with the BFG All Terrains, that I’m wanting to use. And one with the T14 tires from Scenes Unlimited. I chose to remove the decals.

I like the BFGs better. The Others just look to blocky and crude.

Not that they are crude, they just look more agricultural.

Thank You. I agree with you on the tires. I don’t want to do a solid front axle conversion to make it so that it wold work with those bigger mud tires. Plus that, I think they look better on a full size truck.

It is a fine line between "Too Much" and "Just Right" I think you have the "Just Right" nailed with the BFGs'

Very Sharp Truck.

The BFGs look right. They fit well with the rest of the truck.

The T14s could be cool, but I think you'd need to give the truck a lift before they looked right.

:)
