Hey people, I've just seen something on Facebook. A friend of ours just shared some news and I wanted to tell you about this. He also shared some pictures that we all might be interested in. These guys are serious, I guess. I also visited their website and I found it impressive. They are ScaledRides. Their future projects are really cool in my opinion. I will be following them and I leave a link below if you want to take a look. Have a nice weekend!

So far, all they're posting are rendered artwork, no finished pieces.

At 1/18 scale and limited to only 500 copies. That's going to limit their market to the diecast collectors, many of whom don't build.

Interesting subject matter, but they might want to open their scale versions to more common builder sizes. 1/43, 1/35, 1/32, 1/25&24, 1/20, 1/16, 1/12 and 1/8.

Just my opinion.

Yes, its hard to tell anything from a render though I think it might be more likely to be a 3D print than resin.  I do like their future projects (esp. the DB4GT) but will wait to see what they offer in 1/24.

I like their subject matter, to be sure, but we'll see what they actually offer.  making those in 1/24-5 would certainly sweeten the deal.

Good news is, seeing as they seem to have 3D models of all this stuff, they can print them whatever scale they want, from Micro Machine-size on up.

Way cool!  I’d like one of those Mercs for my collection

@rrb124@sbcglobal.netThey will, it seems. I also contacted them to ask about the scales and they said, they might offer the kits in different scales. That's good news because I'm looking for 1/24 kits more than a 1/18. But if the printed parts look as good as I hope, I'm definitely gonna order one of those 1/18 kits too.

@The JunkmanIn my opinion, little and much more detailed parts might be 3D printed. But bigger parts like the body are probably gonna be resin, I guess. But we'll wait and see hopefully...

@CabDriverI agree with you, Jim. Those wheels are not that easy to print. If they can make it, that means they have serious equipments for this kind of work!
