Like the post cars. For 39k he might want to try Mecum or B.J. in Arizona.

Actually he said he was thinking about Mecum in Harrisburg PA next week, but then said he didn’t want to go through all the trouble of trailering the car there and paying the fees.I thought it was a good idea to bring it to an auction too.

I had a '95 Chevy 1500 X-cab short box that I fixed up years ago. I sold it here at the KC Mecum in 2010 and even after the commissions I got much more than the dealer would give me in trade for our new Charger and more than any of the tire kickers that looked at it.

If I wanted to sell it, I would start by joining a Pontiac club.  The price he is asking is reasonable. The No Reserve seller's premium at Mecum was 5% and goes up from there.

Hi Ron. I was looking at the upcoming Mecum Auction on line and remembered your friends GTO. This Thursday they have lot #T91 a '66 GTO with an auto trans and on Satruday they have two. Lot #S67 is a '67 GTO 4-speed car and S162 a '66 GTO auto trans car. I don't know if either one of you are registered with Mecum to follow on line, but it doesn't cost anything. You can follow up on what something sold for and compare equipment and guess from the pictures how they compare as to finish. This might give your friend an idea of what his car could or may be worth.

Oh well that’s all well and good and everything espo, but i don’t even know the guy who owns it.I just happen to see the car and the owner in a supermarket parking lot.Lol.And actually the guy who did own it,was kind of,how should i put it,not the nicest guy.It was like i was bothering him, while i was asking him questions about the car.But i just chalked it up to the fact that the owner told me he was getting a ton of phone calls about the car,but no one was coming to look at it.?‍♂️?,ah whatever.

Sorry, I somehow thought you were on a first name basis with the owner. He may have thought you were just another tire kicker from what you have described.

You piqued my interest, so I went looking at Mecum to see the car you mentioned. The Thursday car #91 is no longer pictured and #91.1 a '02 Chevy S Blazer is in that place. In Mecum speak that usually means a substation vehicle in place of #91. I'm curious now if you were watching on TV or online? I have seen them leave off the selling price on a sold unit before, but never have one just disappear from their site.
