Your realism is amazing! It just doesn't look like a model. You have the experience to know what's right and the skill to recreate it. Fabulous model building.

Thanks so much Manuel!!

What a brilliant looking truck. The story adds so much too! Excellent stuff.

Thanks Steve! The story wasn't fun at the time, but it is a memory to share now.

Very nice model, Brian - it certainly pays off when somebody knows his subject !

(Today I like working and fleet trucks much more than dressed-up show queens which I built 40 years ago when I started modelling trucks)

Thanks Helmut!! I like work trucks much better myself!

Beautiful build. Especially fun when the model on the shelf is a great conversation starter like this one.

Thanks Vince! I had been wanting to build this one for a long time.

Great looking rig! And, been there, done that. Similar learning experience here as well.

Thanks Brian!! I guess we live and we learn.

Very impressive work! You really took advantage of the great aftermarket stuff out there to make these old AMT kits much more real world looking. The used, but not abused, look is perfect!

Thanks Tommy!! Most of the trucks this company owned had the used and abused look back then, but this truck was one of the nicest ones. It didn't spend much time in the shale pit like the rest.

Nice truck. Like the story. Don't feel too bad. My brother- in-law and I both worked at the same garbage refuse company back when we were in our early twenties. I drove rear end loader and he drove roll offs. One account was a glass company where you drove inside the building for pickup. One day my brother-in-law for some reason forgot to lower the roll off after picking it up. He sure was reminded when he was suddenly stopped by the overhead ceiling of the garage opening. He also didn't get fired.

Thanks Paul!! Glad to hear that he didn't get fired either!

Love the model. Your extra touches like the fuel streaking on the tanks and grease on the fifth-wheel really add a lot to the impression of realism.

Thanks Bill!!

Wow, what fantastic detail work!

I like the underhood detailing and the way you captured the grease on the 5th wheel.

Simply Awesome replica.

You do an amazing job of capturing the simplicity and realism of the fleet/work trucks you build from the 70's and 80's .

Thanks! Fleet trucks are my favorite!
