GrimmyTbear Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Howdy yall, just out of curiosity, is there something or a way to give decals on parts (engines, dashboards, and such) like a gloss/shine to them? or would it be better to just leave them be as placed? I recently placed a few decals on an engine for a Corvette C6-R and they look dull. thanks for any help
Dave Van Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Future Floor shine or Pledge restore or whatever they call it today. You can apply with small brush, cleans with water.
GrimmyTbear Posted August 6, 2022 Author Posted August 6, 2022 Are you talking about pledge restoring oil or something else?
espo Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 You can also give the area a light dust coat of clear or semi-clear paint. This will seal the decal and also give you a more natural looking finish to that area.
Bainford Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 I would coat the decals in question with gloss clear while still on the paper. Once cured, cut the decal from the sheet, right up to the image. When applied, it should be a shiny decal.
