khier
Dear all, Is this paint clear? It doesn't seem to cover as model master colours usually do. I have applied two coats and the coverage is far from being uniform. I applied directly over yellow plastic because I wanted a bright background rather than the grayish shade of primers. What do you think? Should I go ahead with a third, possibly a fourth layer, or sink it in dot 3 bath? Regards Walid
Can-Con
Yes, it's a transparent paint with some metallic flake mixed in, meant to be used on turn signals. No reason not to use it on a body though. That body looks really good to me.
robertw
Have used MM Turn Signal a couple of times but I always start from a White Primer base so didn't have a big problem but yes it is semi-transparent and it needed multiple coats. Bainford
If you apply it directly over yellow plastic, you will have a semi-translucent finish that will retain a very plastic look. I would prime with white, then apply a yellow base coat before laying down the turn signal amber. This will create a much more solid and realistic finish. oldscool
I have always found the turn signal amber to be too yellow. I mix a little of their stop light red with it to make it more "amber".
