junkyardjeff Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Picked up a small car Ford six so I had to get the Ranchero,I was hoping when this kit came back out it would had a more correct engine but it did not so I am going to build it the way it should be.
Oldcarfan27 Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Watching. That would be a great engine for just about any early 60s mainstreamer. Mustang, Falcon, Comet, Fairlane, Galaxie. So many choices, so few engines available.
thatz4u Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 go for it Jeff, by the way, are you going to the CARBS show next month?

carrucha Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Nice that you are building it with an inline six. I bought a resin Ford inline six from MCW for my 1960 Ranchero build. I look forward to seeing your finished build.
junkyardjeff Posted October 9, 2022 Author Posted October 9, 2022 That kit should of had a six or a optional 260 or 289 and not what it came with.

XYHARRY Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 G'day Jeff, another option is www.thepartsbox.com located in Australia. They have a resin inline 6 170/200 pursuit. Cheers, David. ??

Every kit release has a budget based on the reasonable expected return. Tooling up new engines is expensive and not in the budget 2
junkyardjeff Posted November 2, 2022 Author Posted November 2, 2022 Starting to look like a Falcon under the hood, the shock towers I used are not the most detailed but to me looks much better. Next is the core support.
