LL3 Model Worx Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I'm wondering what the best way to go about doing the stripe around a Nascar Aero wheel would be? Anyone have any suggestions or advice?
Matt T. Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 (edited) For wheels molded in white, paint and scratch off the ridge with a number 11 X-Acto blade, then hit the newly-white stripe with a red sharpie. You don’t have to be neat about it because the red sharpie won’t show up on the black. Recoat a second and third time with the sharpie, if needed. Works for yellow stripes too. LL3 Model Worx Posted October 29, 2022 Author Posted October 29, 2022 Man, that is an absolute awsome tip! I wouldn't have even considered that. Thank you!
Fat Brian Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 I painted red rings on black wheels by spraying red paint on a paper plate and letting it flash for a bit then dipping the lip in the damp paint.

That too could also be worth a try! I'll likely try both and report my findings here.
