Irvin Arter Jr. Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 After 4 rounds of block sanding we finally started the paint process. First we had to redo all the seam sealer POR 15 the hidden area and edge before installing the front bed panel clean and tape up in the booth a little sealer and color basecoat and finally the clearcoat! to see the project from start to current check out the link! 58 Impala Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Nice job so far! I paint 1:1 vehicles for my livelyhood,I can appreciate your hard work. Nice color, post the finished product when you're done.
mikemodeler Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 What a beautiful start to what should be an absolute stunning vehicle! The long hours of block sanding definitely show in the finished paint on the bed. No one likes to hear about the hours prepping a body but as you have shown us, it pays huge dividends. Can't wait to see it done, and I am sure you are getting anxious too. Please show us the truck when you have it completely painted. Thanks and congrats again on a great looking car. Mike
tuffone20 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 (edited) Yeah that is looking awesome!! I hate when you see a car with a nice paint job, but it looks like poo (can't use the other word) because they didn't take the time to prep the body work. My brohter does body working and has quite a job because the shop didn't want to take the time to get it right. Anyways I can't wait to see the rest of the car painted!!
