Harry P. Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 So I'm watching the Super Bowl, not because I'm interested (the Bears aren't in it this time, so who cares???), but more out of a sense of duty as an American male. We have to watch, don't we? Bored by the game, but I LOVED the halftime show! Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!!!
Harry P. Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 THEN HOW ABOUT REAL OR MODEL ? Patience! ROM appears on Monday mornings.
george 53 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) Harry, Bruce is just ol an nowhere anymore, he writes a good song, but he can't sing(never could) an he couldn't carry a note inna dumptruck!!! I consider myself a normal american male, an I wouldn't waste my time watchin a bunch of overpaid gorillas do nuthin to make more money in 1 year than we'll both make in a lifetime! One GREAT thing about it, it's 8:00 here and we just took my Granddaughter home, and the roads are EMPTY! At least it's keepin the drunks at home or in the bars,so the streets are safe until it's over! To me, thats the ONLY good thing about it! I don't get into football,(or springstunk)never did, personally, I like Drag racing, and REAL road course racing. That's my take on all this waste of time called, you had it right, The STUPOR Bowl! george 53 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Well It wasn't a WASTED game, the Steelers won, an cars are made outta steel, so I guess it's all good! Thanks for all the support guys! I promise NEVER to go to New Jersey (wha happened to OLD Jersey) unless it's for a model car show, and Yes, Lyle I'll accept the fact that we can all be wrong in our opinions, And I'll forgive you for being wrong! caz I LIKE you! And your KILLER models!
bobss396 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I was too busy cooking but caught some of the 1/2 time show. My liking for Bruce has somewhat faded with his involvement in politics but from what I saw it was a good showing for him. The game itself was pretty exciting with a couple of twists in it. Bob
Clay Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 George, Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Unfortunately, yours are completely wrong. Ha thats funny!!!
Cornpatch Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Watched the whole game, have been a Steelers fan since I was knee high to an ant. So glad they won. Didnt pay much attention to the 1/2 time show either. as I am not much of a Springsteen fan at all, but cant say that in front of the wife. I will end up sleeping in the outside dog house. So I had 15 minutes to out and have a smoke and a beer. Hey George53, your quote was " I consider myself a normal American male " unquote. Would you define normal please. Jeff

gasman Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Seemed to me like the Steelers got a pretty big assist from the zebras ... just like in their last SB victory. The fact that James Harrison was held the entire game. and the fact that Arizona was getting some excellent spots, on there first touchdown run they had a couple generous spots that where gifts from the officials. The NFL is going to start adding chips too the balls too the balls so that they can get some accurate spots
mageckman Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I thought it was a pretty good game, despite all the penalties that Pittsburg racked up. A close game right up to the end. My only complaint about what I did watch of it was the half-time show. It sucked. They shoulda gotten somebody a little less annoying to do the half-time show, like Roseanne, or that William? Hung guy. It would have been more entertaining than listening to a washed up has been wail his way through tired songs.
Willy Survive Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) The fact is that everyone wants their team to win. I agree that Harrison shoulda got tossed for holding down that Cards player and punching him. Things like that were going on on both sides of the line. Bottom line is that refs are human and aren't gonna see everything and some are biased in favor of or against certain teams. Wisenhunt didn't cry about it like Holmgren did so apparantley it wasn't as obvious as you made up in your mind. Don't think it hasn't happened to the Steelers before too. Who can forget the 05 AFC playoff game against the Colts with the ridiculous call about Polomalus supposed "non interception". And of course no one who calls themselves a Steelers fan will ever forget the infamous Bettis coin toss incident. So there it is like it or not the Steelers won. I thought it was a fun game for a lot of Pittsburgh sports fans. That Larry Fitzgerald is probably the best receiver I've ever seen and it really was fun watching him work. So if this game upset you that much then I would hate to be around you when lifes real problems hit. Just remember what Mom told you when you were about 4 "It's just a game, have fun." I think that goes for watching and playing. But thats just my opinion..... Edited February 3, 2009 by Willy Survive
cruz Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Love where I'm at!!! Live in Maryland, Ravens hate the Steelers, specially after beating them 3 times this year, and on top of that I am also a Yankee fan!!! AHHHH, life is good!!!! Saw the game at a bar, about 60 Arizona fans against 2 Steeler fans, you tell me if it wasn't a great time!!!!
