Looking good Jim. You have done a fantastic job on the interior. I think it takes balls to cut open doors, I have tried it and ended up parking it.

I did a 300B a couple of years back and found I had to do a lot of clean up on the body - lots of mould lines to clean up and some a little vague. The 300 and 300B are nice looking cars IMO

Thanks, Bill, but nope- I wouldn't have cut that door if I had spotted the discrepancy of the interior door panel/door jamb/windshield dogleg. The door "card" was not fully nor correctly represented and I cut before I realized this was the case. Lack of experience is the culprit. Never trust the tooling!

I am a fan of these Mopars of the '50s having lived with a couple of them as daily drivers when I was young and foolish. I wish Moebius would take advantage of the work that went into that kit and expand the yield as they did for their much-loved Hudson lineup ?. Just think what they could produce!  Who wouldn't want to build a few of these visually stunning examples?

Ahhhh...the '55 St. Regis...that lower grille bar shows up on many a leadsled. The New Yorkers were pretty snazzy, ? (haven't heard that word in quite a while, have you?)??

Those are kind words, Joe, I appreciate the offer but I have no way of connecting a drain to my septic system. There is plenty of room in the back seat though.....?

This one, like my other projects, is in paint limbo. I've decided on black lacquer by airbrush using Alclad II gloss base. Just need a good day. ?. Thanks for your interest!

I have a '56 and a bottle of Scale Finishes' Regimental Red, awaiting its turn. I was toying with doing mine in Caribbean Blue, which was a special-order color, and a few cars were built in it.

I would also like to see a non-300 Chrysler, and a few DeSotos spun off of this tooling. I think an Adventurer would be a very good seller.

You're doing a nice job on this so far. If you switch back to white, the instructions suggested Wimbledon White as a decent match to Cloud White. I believe this is the same as Sapphire White on my 1955 Dodge, and Wimbledon White wouldn't be a horrible match for it in scale.

The '55 I have, and need to finish, is in black. The color fits the car well.

Thanks for your comments,  Charlie.  I have chosen Black mainly because the chrome shows up a lot better against it and I have this nice big bottle of black lacquer that I know will produce a beautiful gloss without a clear coat. I hope I'm not wrong about that ?.

You mention a '55 Dodge; in 1:25? 2 or 4 doors? I would love to see that one.

Looking forward to more on this one.

Yup. Me too. Waiting for painting weather days for 5 projects. Missed a few good ones last week. And today! ?

I am a big fan of the 55-56 Mopars in any form - but then I am biased but as a 55 Dodge was mentioned so here is my 2 cents worth of derailment

I have a real deal 56 Dodge which was originally balck and off white where the pink (salmon) now is. IMG_6968a.thumb.jpg.36241d431650a87cb359ecbf017c727a.jpg

That is absolutely sweet!  In both scales!  I should tell you about the '56 Royal I had back in the '70s but I won't bore you with all the sordid details.

Oh no, no, no. I have a 1:1 Coronet 4-door. This is it being dropped in my driveway a couple of years ago. Still trying to put money together, but with some luck, I'll actually be able to start doing some real work on it this spring when it starts to warm up a bit. I do have an MCW Custom Royal Lancer to build, and I'll be doing it in the same Jewll Black/Sapphire White/Heather Rose scheme as my car.

Polyhead 270 with overdrive. It'll be a nice highway car once it's back on the road.

Nice car. Hoping mine gets to be as nice when it's done.

I hope what happened to my '55 Coronet doesn't happen to yours, Charlie. ?.

Well, it's plenty rusty, engine seems to be free. Transmission doesn't seem to shift, may need bushings or some linkage pins. My major hope is to have the bulk of the disassembly done this spring, and then get someone who actually know how to weld in to fix the floors, rockers, and the other spots that need fixing.

Whatever happened to your car sounds terrible.
