LDO Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 (And others from that generation) How wide is the back door of a Crew Cab ‘06 F-350. Front or door to back. Thank you. Lee
Rodent Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Is this helpful? It doesn't exactly answer your question.
Rodent Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Better? I can see my original, but weird things have been happening around here with images lately. It's the OEM body opening dimensions for collision repair.
LDO Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 It helps. I may need to do some serious head scratching to get the info I need from it. I considered getting the Meng kit off eBay for measurements…until I saw the prices. Yikes. Worst case scenario; carry a tape measure and get some info in a parking lot or used car lot. I even have a tiny tape measure on my keychain. I saw it in a plumbing supply store. It’s the cutest little thing ?
JollySipper Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Freiburger, back when he was still editor for Hot Rod, said that he had put a first generation Bronco on craigslist to sell. Someone came to look at it, and went over it with a set of calipers, getting measurements....... About a year later, we had the Bronco kit!
GLMFAA1 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 I've got a Ming Ford on the assembly line, I'll post you a picture tomorrow. greg

LDO Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 That’s all the information I need. Thank you.
1930fordpickup Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Lee just make sure you put some tape on the metal end. In case the owner walks out.
GLMFAA1 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 You're welcome, I made myself what I called the 'twenty-five inch inch' A 25 inch long magnetic strip that is divided into marks as half, quarter, eighths, and sixteenth hashes. Set it up to full scale article you want to reduce to 1/25th scale. Take a picture and with a set of calipers you can scale off or the photo using the inch that is in the picture. Old school picture taking with 35mm SLRs cameras was to be 14 feet from object and the 5x7 print was close to scale. Another scaling hint is if you know the diameter of the wheel i.e. 20 inch truck rim. you can scale off a straight on shot to scale from the photo. Have fun greg
