Chris Smith Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 (edited) Since it’s going to be a New Year. It’s time for a new build ? I am going to attempt to build the Ferrari 333SP from Model Factory Hiro in 1/12. Mr. Paul Cadwell (aka.. 2 Wheel) will be joining me in this adventure with a friend build, hopefully I can coax him into finishing this before he finds something new and shiny ? Hopefully you’ll enjoy this journey with me, and I thank all of you for your support. Chris Edited December 31, 2022 by Chris Smith 3
stinkybritches Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I'm just going to copy and paste my comment from Paul's post: My all-time favorite Ferrari race car. I'll definitely be following your build

Chris Smith Posted January 10, 2023 Author Posted January 10, 2023 So those of us living on the left coast have been spoiled by our weather, but also have been plagued by drought and forest fires for the last 3-4 years. Now we are getting hammered by rain and high humidity. Not very friendly when you want to get some painting done and make some progress on your current build. But there was a window of opportunity to get some stuff done… so here it is ? 4
2whl Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Nice progress, Chris. My humidity has been high for almost two weeks now. Kinda tough to paint when you have to go into the garage.

Chris Smith Posted January 16, 2023 Author Posted January 16, 2023 I took advantage of the the wife being busy with other stuff this weekend. I probably have about 10 hours into just the fuel injection system, a lot of wires into a small space. I took some liberty with the valley tray/intake manifold. The directions say paint it interior green. Not many photos of it. The ones I have, it looks like fiber glass or some sort of composite. Sure hope you like ? 1
Chris Smith Posted January 31, 2023 Author Posted January 31, 2023 Wrapped up the headers. Man those springs are fun to play with? I also installed some top studio 02 censors. 2
Chris Smith Posted February 7, 2023 Author Posted February 7, 2023 I have spent the better part of a week building the gearbox. Lots of little bits and pieces. I did decide to use some RB Motion A N fittings. I wasn’t happy with the ones that came with the kit and these match the reference photos I have of the car. Hopefully you like 3
Belugawrx Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Wow! that is some intricate detailing.. looking good Chris 1
Pierre Rivard Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 OK Paul, get busy, there's a race going on and we don't want you to get lapped! ? 1
Randy D Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 This is looking great Chris!!! Wonderful detail work and paint going on here. Randy 1
Chris Smith Posted February 14, 2023 Author Posted February 14, 2023 So, I can’t let Paul take all the glory ??? rear suspension installed 2
Pierre Rivard Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Beautiful work Chris. Are all the lines and fittings part of the kit or RB Motion stuff?

absmiami Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 “Patience” - where can i buy that ?? - Is there a starter kit on amazon ?? 1
Chris Smith Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 So first off, I would like to say I am a jealous person for those of you that have a basement or room to do what we love and especially if you have a paint booth in said location. I myself don’t, I have to wait for favorable weather to go into my garage and paint. So, that being said I was able to get some painting done as well, a lot of carbon decals done. The weather in Nor Cal has been crazy to say the least… lot of rain and some snow. So hope you like my little update, I should have more to show very soon 4
Smilesperhour Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 So much small details and well finished!!! Looking great
