I’m looking for colors not available in Tamiya cans. What brand and source should I look for?

Thanks. Lee

Splash Paints, Model Car World, and few others specialize in providing airbrush-ready paints for hobbyists, and they can color match to pretty much any automotive paint color.

I'm curious as to why you want airbrush-ready paint?  Airbrush owners are generally used to thinning any paint to airbrush-ready consistency. Even decanted spray paints often need additional thinning.  Not too long ago, all hobby paints required thinning for airbrushing.

I suppose it’s just an easy way to get back into airbrushing.

Almost all automotive paints towards the hobby will be airbrush ready paints.  Gravity colors(spain), Scalefinishes, MCW, MRP, SMS, Splash paints, zero paints, and theres loads more.  Now for metal colors you got Alclad, AK, Green stuff world, and even the others i named makes metal colors.  If you want the BEST airbrushed primer that would be Mr.surfacer along with either Mr leveling thinner or even rapid thinner as well.

I recently got some paint from scale finishes, absolutely love it. I got lacquer base coat paints, pre thinned, just need to clear it afterwards ( I used Tamiya TS-13) , first time using air brush for a body and I got these results….the Merc is color shift and the nova is GM rally green

My favorite is without a doubt, MCW. (Model Car World)

Ready to spray acrylic lacquers in a vast array of colors, most of which are factory colors.

I like Scale Finishes paints as well, but I find that MCW's metallic particles in their metallic paints are closer to correct for 1/25th scale.

Scale Finishes it is. They’re mixing up a match for this airplane.

Thank you for the advice.
