SteveG Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 ..... other then a couple of minor touch-ups, I'm calling this one done. It's my '70 Coronet Montville Township Fire Chief's Car. It's built from a Modelhaus kit which I removed the door trim and changed the dash and steering wheel to make it look more like a Municipal vehicle. I also modified the exhaust and added a few pieces that I borrowed from a Johan Police Fury along with several other kits. Special thanks to Brandon VanNess for the custom decals. If your interested in the build up photos just follow the link below. Thanks for looking !!! -Steve 70 Coronet Sedan build up
fordh8r Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Cool build. The dash and radio panel details are just right. I like how the door trim is missing on the front doors due to the decal on the door, just like the real thing ....... or..... at least when they use to build cars with chrome trim on them.
James W Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Nicely done!! looks great. I miss the old Mopar fleets that used to flourish back in the 70's
GMP440 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Is this the recent Modelhaus issue of the 70' Coronet 4 door? When did you buy yours? I noticed that the rear wheel openings are the same shape as the 2 door . Modelhaus just reissued the updated one recently but don't know if they ever corrected the rear wheel openings.
george 53 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Wow! That's nice! Looks just like the type they used in the last year of Adam-12.I mean, other than the color.Duh....

It is the the updated one, I got it at the the Toledo NNL late last year. I didn't notice the rear wheel openings until you mentioned it and I checked my reference photos and your right, the opening is too tall in the rear. Not a huge error but you may want to email Don some photos. -Steve
