Heres my entry for the 2023 BRGB, a gmc general. Will mostly be box stock, may change out the wheels since im not a fan of the small 10x20 wheels.

Definitely not the coke version lol. I might do a blue and white two tone. I thought about ford Wimbledon white on the frame and i wanna change the wheels to the spoke style ones of the autocar kit since theyre bigger and would fill up that wheel well a little better

I had my heart set on you building the Coke lol. The white frame would look nice with a blue/white cab hood sleeper with the traditional GMC tri color stripes dividing it. Just a thought   Warren has a good idea too now that you can get that sleeper from Dave’s Models.

I  used 11x22's on my General wrecker.  I seem to prefer the larger wheels/tires, the 10x20's always seem to look too small.

Yeah they look kinda goofy to me on the big trucks, and the gmcs seem to have a big wheel opening in the hood to fill

Agreed, but the paint on the General in part 2 is nice!

Off to a good start, can’t wait to see what color scheme you decide on.

I havent decided yet on the body, but the frame and wheels will be white like in the promotional pictures

Me too. Nice start I haven’t built one of these since around 1998. I think I’m going to get one and try it again. The white frame and wheels will look nice

This ones got a ton of warpage and flash. Im thinking of off-white, metallic tan, and either dark metallic green or red in a similar style to the truck i posted, starting with the lightest color and the bottom

All of those colors sounds good. Did you have any problems building the frame?  I like this one you posted 68EECFFC-A8B4-402B-A956-E9D56194C935.jpeg.2cd0e60e589e15e810f8b0dc1d6c2253.jpeg

The biggest problem i ran into so far is the front springs dont have the pins molded into them like the instructions show. So i had to use the shocks and steering parts to kind of guess

I had the same issues with this kit, tanks warped as well and the air bags where not the same length. I posted the in my WIP GMC General thread last year.

Thanks. It’s so long since I built this kit I can’t remember my trouble with this kit seems like it was the sleeper lining up with the cab

Paint looks good  ! White is soooo challenging to get even coverage, but will be beautiful on your General

Yeah it was definitely a challenge to get good coverage.  Thank you!

Frames done, starting on the body. The hood and sleeper were pretty warped so its been a struggle. Thinking of running these straight pipes on this rig
