When his plane went down Vee and his music friends and older brother stepped up to make sure the show went on. He was discovered and he went on to chart many hits in the early 60's.

Poor Mr. Zimmerman got fired from the band, but I still get a kick out of the idea of clean cut Vee and the Shadows trying to figure out this quirky and struggling piano player. Clearly the separation was monstrously beneficial to everyone involved, including rock and folk aficionados.
