Mike C Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) It's mostly metal. I built it around '83 or '84. I did a little restoration to it a couple of years ago. The windscreen was missing. I was able to get the few parts I needed from Italeri. Funny about the windscreen. The clear plastic part from the kit was way to small to fit in the frame. But it was real easy to cut a new piece as it was flat. The "15" decals in the rear were dry transfers. They look painted on. But they gave masks for the "15" on the hood and the radiator. You can only see the "15" on the radiator on the 3/4 angle shots. For some reason it doesn't show up in the front shot. That's BMF on the exhaust heat shield in the photo below. I did the floor board with some wood veneer from a metal cigar tube. I don't smoke those stinky things, they reek. The kit comes with a piece of contact paper. Edited March 26, 2023 by Mike C 1
Jim B Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 That's awesome! I've always been intimidated by these large-scale cars. Mostly due to the price & my ability to completely hose them up.
cobraman Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Looks great ! Getting quite fond of these old race cars.
larman Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Great job! It looks like a very challenging model!
Mike C Posted March 26, 2023 Author Posted March 26, 2023 Thanks everybody. I'm glad you like this old build.
stavanzer Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Looks Great, and your care in building it shows!
