Mothersworry Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Monogram 1930 Model A Ford Coupe / Cabriolet kit circa 1962, original issue. The Model itself is not that hard to come by, but according to a close friend of mine who worked at Harb's Hobby Shop in Dearborn Michigan, this example is quite a rare survivor. You'll notice the box bottom is sealed, it wuz Monogram's practice back in the day when a new kit wuz introduced to include a "display kit" (with the interior sealed) in each case of kits. The retailer could use this to show the features of the "new" kit to promote sales and when the hype of a new kit died down it could still be sold as a sealed kit. Edited October 8 by Mothersworry 4
oldcarfan Posted October 19 Posted October 19 This one I just got a few days ago. I built one back when they were new and lost it somewhere along the line. I'd given up trying to find one at a decent price and bought the Italeri version then Hobbytown Arlington had one in their vintage kits and I snapped it up. Now that I have it, no doubt Tamiya will reissue it! lol 1

FoMoCo66 Posted Tuesday at 12:14 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:14 PM Amt 28 ford sedan, got this at a local model swap meet. One of my grails, so glad I got it for such a good price.
Rob Hall Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago There are probably some rare oldies in here, two deep in the closet and on the shelves. Some newer kits mixed in.
