Reuhkapelti2 Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 (edited) I got this resin body in a quite poor condition, but I started to fix it bit by bit. First I cut the top off, as it was chopped too much in the front. This is a replica of a legendary Finnish strip car from the '80ies owned and driven by Mr. Esko Ahola. All decals are made by me and the paint is brushed. This model is not perfect in any category, but it brings good memories from decades ago when I’ve seen the real one in action. Could someone please move this topic "Under glass" as this one is done. Edited April 17, 2023 by Reuhkapelti2 1
Raoul Ross Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Pretty Cool! You've certainly captured the flavor of it. I would'a liked to have seen this run back in the day! ?
Ulf Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Incredibly nice. Everyone who builds after a model impresses me greatly because I have tried but given up because it is so much more difficult. Slightly OT, V8 Magazine had fantastic reports by Juha Airio, some of whom were in the SAE at the time. 1
Reuhkapelti2 Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 Thanks, I just recently had a opportunity to discuss with Juha Airio in American Car Show held in Helsinki Finland. His models are above all levels.
