Seriously though, I've always thought some of these Fujimi kits had some pretty out there artwork. I'm sure it's a cultural thing, I find it weird and bizarre.

Well... the reality of Japanese car shows is actually well represented there.

It is a cultural thing. But at the same time. It is weird for us seeing that most model box art isnt lie this at all.

What a lot of people kind of forget is that inside some of these cartoon-y boxes, there are some fantastic kits!

I have a couple of Fujimi Porsches where the box art looks like some sort of toy, but the kit inside is awesome.

You're right Dan. Quite often these were reissued versions of Fujimi Enthusiast kits.

Dan already got to it but yeah, those early nineties AMT/ERTL boxes were something else. How could a company be so bold and daring? That controversial and wild font they placed on every box, that crazy gray background… it’s a wonder they didn’t sprout wings and fly off the shelves themselves.
