Spectacular. Where did you get the files for the 3D print?

Well since the ads are based upon your search and viewing history I sometimes actually click them. I bought a couple of kits from my banner ad for Hobby Sense. Have a guy on one of my car forums that complains that all ne ever get's is ads for bras and panties. Does NOT get that the results are based upon his history!

At least those ones look like they were all molded the same size.

Both. Use it as a smooth base and then as a sealer afterward.

Yep. Moon Unit and Dweezil as well.

But then he sanded it smooth and it happened again on the smooth lacquer finish so no primer was involved. The booger had been wiped.
-
Not going to be a primer issue if the last painting was over several coats of the lacquer. Sounds all the world like the paint is drying on the way to the model to me. I have run into this issue several times with flat paints on armour. Reduce pressure, use the right thinner and even possibly some retardant and I bet it is fine.

Willing to bet that the real thing was not ultra shiny like most model cars get painted anyway. I know that the couple of models I did of my old cars needed to have the gloss knocked down to be more like what they really looked like. Hard to tell in the pictures but that appears to be a very appropriate level of gloss for a 3 or 4 year old stock 60's car paint job.

Presuming the '63 engine bay is complete as the '64 the thickness of the fan blade is pretty much a non issue.
-
Late to the party but going to throw in anyway. The tail lights between the 63 and 64 are actually pretty different so using 64s would look way off. DO NOT consider the AMT 64 lights even if doing a 64 unless you can get an old mold kit. The tails in the new molds are shapeless blobs that are not even the same size as each other! The lights on this kit may be molded on but at least they are the right size and shape. Personally I would take the cowards way out and chrome them up, hit the lenses with some clear red paint and call it a day .
