Background:

The R33 is my favourite of the three main Skyline GT-Rs - the R32, R33 and R34. The R33 is the perfect blend of brutal and elegant to my eyes, and it's a car I used a lot in the very first Gran Turismo game back in 1998, tuning it to destroy the competition. I'm doing that again now with the R33 in Gran Turismo 7, 25 years later. This build is my tribute to that, in one of my favourite colours.

Pros:

Looks right. Fits together easily and perfectly. Well moulded, nice plated wheels, great tyres and a fantastic amount of chassis/suspension detail. All round excellent

Cons:

No engine and the glue-able area for mounting the glass is tiny.

Verdict:

Aside from the two cons mentioned above - perfect.

Build notes:

Built over the course of just 12 days in April/May 2023.  12 days is an indication of just how easy this kit is to build and get looking good.  Painted with rattle-can Ford Ginger Ale Metallic, substituting for Nissan Millennium Jade. I changed the mesh for some less coarse stuff and the front number plate is PE for a more scale thickness. Otherwise built out-of-box.

Thanks. Ford's own brand, bought in a rattle-can from the local Ford dealership parts department. Sprayed directly out of the can and onto the kit.
