Cab looking good with those modifications! Like the 2 hole Budds and blue Detroit!  Excellent rear tires choice, are those Double Takes?

I like it too,the blue engine is correct for this type of ford, back in the day most all the truck  companies had their factory colors on the motors.Kenworth was white IH was red and ford was blue,Macks were gold.not sure about any others.Cool truck ,they were so ugly they were good looking?. harvey

It is advancing nicely and I like the progress so far!  I have to mention that the choice of red color does look very classic and retro here.  I like it!

Thanks for posting the picture. This was one of the inspiration trucks. The other one had 2 hole Budd wheels. I did add dual stacks, which is different from any of the reference trucks that I found. I did that for two reasons. First, the Detroit just wanted dual stacks. Second, I wanted to use the odd offset stack set up that Ford used. The driver side stack sets closer to the middle than the passenger stack. I thought that was an interesting detail, so I wanted it to have it.

The new W 1000 must be replacing the old Autocar for long haul work.

The next one is going to be Carolina as well, maybe the next two.
