Every so often I enjoy building an old monster or caricature style kit. These old reissued kits bring back memories of building these kits in the 60's. This ones s PolarLights issue of the old Aurora kit. This is built using only kit parts except M&H decals on rear tires , cobwebs in the scoop, yo-yo string, red lenses in windshield frame lights and moon-tank between the engine and the tombstone grille because of the gap there. The shifter is in such a place on the lower right side that you would miss it if you didnt know it existed , legs are under the engine. I would guess his feet are the front brakes. No chrome parts in this kit so I used some Molotow chrome in some areas. Enjoy building something different and build it your way.

Fun stuff, and really cool example of back-to-basics model building for the pure fun of it. For me, it's a few of the Tom Daniel kits from Monogram, but even more so the wonderful caricature kits from Revell by Dave Deal. Deal's Wheels FTW!

Well done !  I also enjoy these kits and they're a great break from the detail-detail-detail of our usual builds .  By the way . . . what are those cobwebs made from ?

Thanjs Bob, and your right about taking a break from the usual stuff...with these there is no such thing as right or wrong, sits high or wrong color shade. Just build as you go.. The fuzz in the scoop is Angora craft fur strands from HobbyLobby. . Ive used it in 60's style build interiors and as hair on other builds.
