If I put together a slideshow or video of models at shows that will be shared across the internet should I be blurring out the names on the entry forms?

I think there’s no need for that… but i could be wrong. I have a Foki account with photos and videos dating back as far as late 90’s, never have had any problems…

I believe that if the written names are on public display with the model, (the entry form is usually displayed next to the model) it’s ok. This is only basic identifying information for the purpose of claiming one’s publicly displayed art, or product, under the agreed upon rules and operation of the contest.

If personal information, like a home address, is visible, then I would blur it out. However, I can’t imagine that would be the case. The contestant’s hometown would be ok. As again, if the identifying information has been provided by the contestant themself, for the express purpose of identifying one’s own work, (the builder) under the assumption of public display, then it is perfectly fine to publish the photos with names.

As a photographer who does it for income, there is no reason to blur out the names. In public there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. It's no different than me posting a business card on those little bulletin boards you see in restaurants. You shouldn't have any problems!

Agreed. We’ve posted NNL East albums on our Fotki site for over 20 years without a single complaint. In fact it’s the opposite, people tag their models!
