Model Roundup carries a few vintage kits in their "Vintage Vault". You can also look under their recently discontinued kits for older ones to build......

Spotlight Hobbies has them in the unbuilt kit sections by year mixed in with recent and older kits. They also have several old built kits that can be restored.

I rarely buy older vintage kits, but the MPC 68 Barracuda was the first kit I ever built, so I ended up paying $125 for a sealed inside kit recently.

Sometimes they never get paid for by the winning bidder and get resisted.  Never delete stuff out of my eBay because it happens..

Is the fact that it’s an AMT kit a real sticking point with you?

If not, there’s a million Revell ‘68 Mustang GTs out there for $30.00 or less.

Per Steven's suggestion, I have seen several nice out of box builds of the Revell kit. I got one at a show recently, opened but sealed inside for $10. Haven't built it, but looking forward to it as it appears to be a well thought out kit, I'm sure more detailed than the AMT version.

I see your profile picture is a 68 Shelby Mustang.

Do you want the kit to display with a 1:1 car you have? I have a few friends in the 1:1 car hobby that show their car with original annual kits (mint unbuilt or empty box).

One friend has a 1:1 70 Charger R/T and a 60 Dodge 2drHT with a mint unbuilt kit he shows with each car.

Just a guess :) .

The prices for lots of vintage cars have gone crazy. I could not afford to buy the vintage cars I have owned for many years. The same is true for a lot of my models also.
