Sad day for sure, who is going to take up the slack?

I did a little research and found out they had a relationship with the yellow cab company. Same owner or owners at the start.

Oddly, Yellow Freight always had orange tractors. It was called Swamp Holly Orange, and it was supposed to by more visible.

Didn't Yellow merge with Roadway back about 10 years ago or so?

I believe Fed Ex bought out Roadway. New division was RPS, Roadway Package Systems. This was more than 20 years ago if my memory is correct.

Roadway and the company my dad drove for, CF A.K.A. Consolidated Freightways.

From Here: https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/31/business/yellow-corp-closing/index.html

"Yellow, Roadway and a third company known as CF or Consolidated Freightways had once been known as the Big Three of the trucking industry. CF went out of business in 2002. And with Yellow Corp. closing, the final two parts of the Big Three are now out of business as well. "

A big problem with Pension plans is that employees will forego pension payment for increase of benefits and pay. Soon the pension payments owed are into the millions. This pension problem is not limited to businesses. Most Cities and States have this enormous problem. Chicago and Illinois are a perfect example. The solution RAISE TAXES.
