Nice build of the Torino. I built one recently and in a Restomod style with little additional chassis detail other than paint detailing and I had the same chassis fit issues you have. I ended up having to relocate the wheels backwards by the same amount you moved the chassis back. The main thing is you got there in the end with a good result

Yours turn out nice! The color really set the difference in build.

Thanks for the advice on the chassis fitment, since I just paint the body, but didn’t to the test first , ahhhgrrr!

Really like this build! I'm curious how you did the headlights as they look terrific in your photos, (or are they  just the kit chrome and the photography lighting makes them look so good)?

Nice Torino, Mario. Love the colour. I really dig the second photo, the way the light plays on the body.

awesome work looks great
the chassis issue might have been cause they modifed this kit at some point in the 90's to  make a 69 torino talladega  kit and that car had a longer front end then the torino cobra does  you can see optional parts from the talladega version in the parts trees with all 69 torino  releases after it

This is not an easy kit to build but you did a great job with it. It came out very nice. I really like your color choice and your background looks very appropriate.

Despite the build problems, like a true 'modeler' you've come through with an absolute beauty!

I've  always like this generation of Torino. The color choice is perfect and the details make your build a standout. As a side note,  I think the Talladga was a Revell product, though I could be wrong.

That looks great Mario. Your choice of colours is perfect and your heads up on the chassis will be invaluable when it comes to building mine. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Excellent work! I love the brown with black combination. Thanks for the heads up on the kit. If this is one of the Walmart kits, they're are AMT repops, so we should expect some assembly & fit issues.

I have one almost done, I put the Talladega nose on it decades ago. I'm onto the 2nd paint job and had the stock car decals go bad. Back in the box...

The color really compliments the body style and has a smooth finish. Like the clean trim.

That's a good looking 69 Ford Torino Mario. Great looking color.  Despite the issues with the chassis it turned out pretty nice dude.

Thanks guys for the kind words, Mark, for the chrome lights, I apply a bit of light gray panel line and then I cover the lights with a couple of coats of mod podge clear gloss. It gives a different shine than the chrome, I find it quite effective.

The challenges you had with this model certainly are not apparent in the finished product! I too like the colour, and your high quality paint work and excellent diorama are always a pleasure to look at. I like the casually dropped newspaper by the dumpster.
