GLMFAA1 Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Looking for information on 1/25th-24th 2003 Corvette kit if there was one produced what or by who made it, prefer not die cast. If not made how close can I get and modify to a 2003. greg
kurth Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) Revell did a C5 kit, which was re-issued many times covering different model years and trim levels. I also see a C5 snap tite on scalemates. I do not know the C5 well enough to know if there were changes between the model years that are very noticable. I have the Revell 1997 kit and it is what you would expect from revell in the late 90s, It looks nicely detailed. Edited October 26, 2023 by kurth
tbill Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 About the only difference in any of the C5 kits will be the wheels . For the most part, any C5 kit will get you a 2003, just depends on what wheels you use. I have a 1:1 2004 convertible, I don’t remember what kit I used, but it wasn’t a 2004, and I had to add body side moldings, also couldn’t find the correct wheels, but used some from a C6 kit that were close.
tbill Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 The colors actually match, just poor lighting on my bench….
kurth Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Nice ride, and great job replicating it in scale ? 1
bamadon Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 I think the 1998 Revell pace car is what you will need. As tbill said, the wheels will have to be changed. Don
kelson Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 There's this snap kit that hasn't been available for awhile.
