2003 Corvette model kit or not?

Recommended Posts

Revell did a C5 kit,  which was re-issued many times covering different model years and trim levels.  I also see a C5 snap tite on scalemates.  I do not know the C5 well enough to know if there were changes between the model years that are very noticable. I have the Revell 1997 kit and it is what you would expect from revell in the late 90s, It looks nicely detailed.

About the only difference in any of the C5 kits will be the wheels . For the most part, any C5 kit will get you a 2003, just depends on what wheels you use. I have a 1:1 2004 convertible, I don’t remember what kit I used, but it wasn’t a 2004, and I had to add body side moldings, also couldn’t find the correct wheels, but used some from a C6 kit that were close.
