customsrus Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Anyone know what kit that these wheels are from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Keef Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Yes the AMT 68 Shelby GT500 has those wheels. I have a set of them in my parts box that I didn’t use.

Can-Con Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 The 520 part number shows they're from the AMT '68 Shelby Mustang. The '66 Mustang coupe and '69 Galaxie also have some. The '66 wheels look "off" for some reason and the '69 wheels lack lug nut detail and have quite a deep rim.
Bills72sj Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 I used the kit rims for my 68 Shelby. Sand the backs to open up the holes. Use panel liner to bring out the detail and depth. Optionally, you could machine some aluminum tubing to make wheel hoops like I did. 2
